London, UK: October 22, 2014 – i-Technosoft Corporation, announced today that they are to provide their award winning online child protection programme at preferential rates through the London Ventures programme, a partnership between London Councils and EY.
i-Technosoft, a software distribution company, signed a commercial deal with London Councils to deploy its award winning security solutions across different London boroughs and schools. The deal is designed to help London’s local authorities and government schools save considerably through i-Technosoft’s online child protection and enterprise technology programmes, working to primarily encourage more collaborative procurement through London Ventures, improving productivity and continuously enhancing the management and security of its internal IT infrastructure and processes.
London Councils’ Capital Ambition regional improvement and efficiency partnership has helped fund projects across the capital, saving more than £75m. Capital Ambition evolved in February into London Ventures, a programme designed to help London local authorities save an ambitious £357m by 2016.
David Cameron has been very vocal about limiting access to pornography across the country. Local ISP’s are required to opt-in new customers to block pornography at home. “The ISP solution is a one size fits all solution that does not address the real need for local authorities, schools or families to block or monitor content based on different age groups regardless of the location, connection and device type.” said Mehdi Abbas, Commercial Director at i-Technosoft. He added that “Parents in specific do not want internet providers to be watchdogs and track their children online due to concerns about privacy. There are over a million students in state schools across London and with the support of London Councils we intend to reach the audience swiftly.”
The online child protection programme will assist local authorities’ efforts to protect vulnerable children and adults, supporting the corporate parenting role through its award winning parental control and social media monitoring solutions.
As Edward Lord, chair of the Capital Ambition board (which oversees London Ventures), puts it: “The London Ventures programme will allow boroughs to tap into a range of innovative ideas, which can bring significant benefits to residents. The programme points the way for the sector to engage in commercial partnerships suited to today’s challenging economic environment.”
i-Technosoft’s proposed solutions have won a number of awards including from PC Magazine, Top Ten Reviews and Top Consumer reviews 2014. Net Nanny is also endorsed by the National Parenting organisation and actively used in over 40 local authorities, government and fostering organisations within UK alone. Local authorities use i-Technosoft software to improve monitoring and child safeguarding processes with some ensuring foster parents use parental controls to keep children protected from cyberbullying and inappropriate online content. The solutions protect over 2 million families worldwide with support for multiple platforms including Windows 8, Mac, Android, Kindle and Apple iPod Touch, iPad and iPhones.
Commenting on the partnership, Darra Singh, Local Public Sector partner at EY stated “The London Ventures programme demonstrates the potential to make innovation a reality; keeping ambition and commitment to improved outcomes at the heart of its ethos”.
